David Gaines, Massapequa’s curriculum associate for music, was joined by Lockhart Elementary School orchestra teacher Clarence Kelly and choral instructor Kathleen Dyckman with the NYSSMA award. The recognition took place at the 2016 NYSSMA winter conference in Rochester. The Massapequa School District was recently presented with the New York State School Music Association’s Presidential Citation award.
